Diana's Story
Diana's career was in full bloom in 2015. She was a product manager in the midst of bringing her product vision to life, had just given birth to her first daughter, and was married to the love of her life, Juan. However, if she was honest, this transition into motherhood amidst the height of her product launch was draining the life out of her. She felt blessed but had so many things going on that she felt she was constantly reinventing the wheel or never catching up in a routine of chaos.
On the surface everything seemed perfect - she was married to an exceptional and supportive husband; she had a beautiful and healthy baby girl; and was excelling in her career, rising through the ranks at her corporate job. However, she found herself struggling to find joy. When her daughter, Mia, was only 3, she felt enormous amount of regret and remorse for not living life on her own terms. She was spending her time now as a director leading several teams and developing and selling products that didn't align with her values and feeling guilty daily for not spending the quality time she craved with her young daughter. She was consumed with work and losing sight of who she was, her passions, and her relationships.
As product management director Diana spoke at major conferences, such as WWD, about how digital imaging technology can enhance customer relationships.
Then in 2018, after her husband's two best friends died suddenly in a crash on their way to work one day, leaving behind children Mia's age, she was suddenly shaken by the reality that every day could be our last. She realized something needed to change and she couldn't keep allowing herself to be swept away by life's changing tides. Diana set out to live a life she could be proud of, that would inspire her daughter, and would allow her to refocus on the things that matter most. She decided to transition to entrepreneurship in order to pursue her true desires.
In the two years following her decision she continued to serve as a senior product management consultant leading the development of cloud solutions, started an ecommerce business, pursued her doula and child birth educator certifications, and embarked on a journey of self discovery and learning. When she took a step back she realized that the common thread throughout her life had been that she felt called to encourage and inspire people to achieve their biggest, most meaningful goals.
early in diana's entrepreneurial journey Diana founded Inspiremia, products that inspire, empower, and support you in the pursuit of big dreams.
In March 2020, 2 years into this period of transition, and at the very beginning of the pandemic, Diana was convinced that the best next step for her was to work with a Certified High Performance Coach. The day of her first coaching session was also the day before her otherwise healthy 40 years young husband, Juan, caught the COVID19 virus. In that session Diana was tasked with asking her loved ones what 3 words best described her.
The day Juan began experiencing difficulty breathing, he sent Diana her 3 words before leaving for the hospital - "Love. Courage. Integrity." He unexpectedly died five days before their daughter's fifth birthday after battling the virus in isolation at the hospital for four weeks. The immense suffering that came from this experience led to life sized amounts of self reflection and growth. Diana honors Juan every day as she lives out those 3 words and is eternally grateful to the transformational experience of working with her coach through reinventing herself after her monumental loss.
Diana and heR Husband, Juan, celebrate Their Daughter Mia's 4th Birthday. Juan would later die 5 days before her 5th birthday from COVID-19 complications.
Diana started this new life as an only parent by moving out of the home her and her husband purchased to welcome their second baby (which she miscarried months prior to Juan's death). Keenly aware of how fragile life can be, she centered herself on her faith and did the things that brought her to life - salsa dancing, hiking, completing her first half marathon, telling her husband's story to several major media outlets, and her calling as a coach.
Diana now specializes in empowering servant leaders to regain the clarity and confidence they need to THRIVE in their careers rather than survive WITHOUT postponing their true desires. This includes navigating the challenging periods of transition that come with making life changing decisions for career growth, new beginnings, and reinvention of self.
